then agamalizard shits on his body

then he said ah!, this agamalizard that shits on my body

who ever kills it will be the one to marry my daughter

the hyena came, he tries to kill the agamalizard, but he cannot do it

the elephant came, tries, he can't/couldn't

the lion came, tries, but he can't/couldn't

wobe ɓawã kãD, ɓe ʔe bokule bo kuB kpanavuwan ɲa bo bwa jiɰi-aŋ-ã  
all animals, they came (?) the agamalizard but they couldn't kill it

a ja sue, maŋ tab n-lubu n-eʔ, ma seŋ jiB kpanavuwan  
then the hare came and said he will kill the agamalizard

ma ne ga-aŋ ka a jowa guloba-e tã-i ka wuna pa-aŋ npãa na ne ʔe ɲa ne jiB kpanavuwan-a, n-jeRe paɗe maŋ jiB kpanavuwan-a  
then they tell him that he has a big stomach, that important people came and they couldn't kill the agamalizard, how can you kill it?

then the hare just kept silent without saying anything

then he stands, he goes and loses his dog at home, he goes and tides it under the tree shade

he goes over there and brings grass [for the dog to eat]

a-ja a-koŋ ɲonɓe dijaŋ a-je a-bob, a-je aɗeŋ woɓe a-elaŋ  
he brings out his young goat, and tides it under the tree shade, he goes and brings meat for it

ma kpanavuwan ko ɓa si ma sele, ka a wowa ka are ne powa momureda-a  
then the agama lizard on top of the tree laughs and says this [foolish] animal ---?

ka ɓẽ ka ɓə tá pela wobe ma swi wobe a elaŋ-a  
he said that goats do not eat meat and before he brought meat for it to eat?

ka ɓeza, ka moŋ pela wã-e ma a-je afei wã a-elaŋ-ã  
he said that dogs cannot eat grass and before he brought grass for it to eat

kpanavuwan ziŋəŋ ɗe iʔe ebswi wobe pere ɓẽ je ele ɓeza  
agamalizard, came down of it and carried the meat from the goat, he gave it to the dog

ka wog'wa, a muri mu powa ka ja amapowa ka je tabaŋ na kpaka de akoŋ ɓẽ ɗe ɓeza  
he said this foolish animal does not know how to take care of dogs and goats, let me teach him

a-je maŋ-a a-je atõ wã pere ɓeza a-je ela ɓẽ wale ma gbe-aŋ  
then he went carrying grass [on its head] in front of the dog, to give it to the goat, while the leafs covered it

sie ma gobaŋ si ɲe ki-aŋ ze ma gabaŋ wo kpanavuwan ma jib ma loɓe  
then the hare took a stick close to him, and killed the agamalizard with it.

tog-maŋ je mo kpane, ka kee tag-mene-aŋ ka awa i-jiB  
he took it to the king, he said that it was the agamalizard that shits on your body, he is dead

sue bwa nswe, ma swe wune ka aŋ ka e ka aje jege kai ɗe nswe ja  
the hare has gotten a wife, then people came and told him, where will you take this woman to?

that his wife is at home then he insult the wife, (yongnegheng)

he said that despite his wife he went and found a young girl
